ABOUT FEDERAL FLAMMABILITY STANDARDS

The Flammable Fabrics Act became law over five decades ago. It was drafted and passed into law to protect against injuries caused by flammable clothing. Today, the Flammable Fabrics Act also applies to interior furnishings like couches and drapes. The full text of the Federal Flammability Act is detailed in Title 16 CFR parts 1602-1632.

Although no injuries were reported in connection with this particular project, products that fail to meet flammability standards do pose a serious risk of injury to consumers. If you or someone you love was harmed by a defective garment or interior furnishing, we invite you to contact a San Antonio personal injury attorney at Wyatt Law Firm, Ltd. for a free review of your case.
