5 Reasons To Contact An Attorney Before Speaking With Auto Insurance

They are a business and as such, they are looking to make a profit. Although maybe not your first thought after a car accident, you should consider speaking with an experienced attorney before you speak with your insurance.

Texas' Fracking Boom Impacts The Rise Of Traffic Accident Rate

Texas leads the nation in large vehicle accidents, according to the Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The state actually surpassed California's number. Though Texas saw a reduction in the number of car accidents, it has since risen to lead the country. But why the rise? There are studies that show a distinct correlation between the rise of traffic accidents involving commercial trucks and the fracking boom that started in 2008. The increase in fracking sites caused an increase in the number of trucks that occupied Texas highways, leading to more opportunities of a crash.

NHTSA Releases List of Latest Vehicle Recalls

The NHTSA recently notified consumers of 21 separate recall campaigns involving various manufacturers, makes, and models. The June 22 release identifies Chrysler, Toyota, Porsche and a variety of others as manufacturers. A reason for many of these recalls is a passenger side front airbag inflator that can rupture and pose a risk of injury to occupants. Another reason for many of these recalls is a vent tube that can detach from the Engine Breather. To find out if your vehicle has been included in a recent recall, you can search by model year, make, and model on the NHTSA website.
