Austin, TX (May 18, 2022) – A pedestrian accident took place in the Austin area that left one person injured. At around 2:30 a.m., on May 15, the Austin Police Department was dispatched to a crash on East Riverside Drive.

Reports from APD show that a pedestrian was struck by several vehicles on East Riverside Drive in the area of South Lakeshore Drive. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene and closed off a portion of the roadway as they worked to investigate.

The pedestrian sustained critical and life-threatening injuries in the crash. They were rushed to Dell Medical Center for emergency medical care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
