The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced three product recalls today, including recalls of rubber snake boots, cup sleeves, and espresso makers.

The CPSC announces product recalls every day. Today, it announced the recall of three separate products.

1. Rocky Brands Rubber Snake Boots

Rocky Brands issued a recall of some of its rubber snake boots due to failure to protect the wearer from a snake bite, the boot's intended purpose. The boot manufacturer is recalling approximately 1,800 of these boots.

2. Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Recalls Cup Sleeves

Kaldi's Coffee Roasting, a coffee company based out of St. Louis, issued a recall of about 700,000 coffee sleeves. The product, "Java Jackets," can apparently catch fire if microwaved, so the cup sleeves were recalled for reason of fire hazard. The coffee sleeves were fitted for 12 and 16-ounce paper cups.

According to Precision, consumers are at a risk of burns because the espresso unit's filler cap can crack, allowing steam to escape. In some cases, Precision said that the caps can even pop off without warning due to excessive pressure buildup.

Precision stated that they had received one report of consumer injury - burns. Anyone who possesses one of these defective espresso makers should immediately stop using it and contact the manufacturer to get a free replacement cap.
