21-year-old Dillon Trevino killed in fatal car crash

The Wyatt Law Firm imparts our deepest sympathy to the victims of a fatal crash this past Saturday morning.

Dillon Rene Trevino (21) was killed early June 15 after a speeding truck rear-ended the Pontiac in which he was riding.

The Pontiac sat stopped at a red light on Southwest Military Drive when the speeding 2008 GMC plowed into the back of it, the collision propelling the Pontiac nearly a quarter of a mile down the road.

Trevino was pronounced dead at the scene, and the three other Pontiac passengers were rushed to University Hospital in critical condition.

Of the four occupants in the truck, two fled the scene after the crash but were later apprehended by police. At this time, police are still attempting to identify the driver but have charges pending on all four occupants.

Melissa Araujo - who raised Trevino after her sister's death - lamented the loss of her nephew in an interview with KSAT 12 news. "They just took an angel." Trevino was coming home from his bartending job at 210 Sports Cantina and Grill when he was killed. He had plans to attend college and become a firefighter. Araujo describes him as happy and very friendly with all he met.

"I hope I get justice for my son," Says Araujo. "I hope they get what they deserve. It is just not fair. He was just starting his life and was ripped away from our family. My son will never come back."

We are praying for Dillon Trevino's family and for the crash victims and their families.
