Lowe’s Big Rig Rolls Over Near San Antonio’s Loop 1604

by | Jul 21, 2016 | Auto Accidents, Personal Injury, Truck Accidents | 0 comments

A man is lucky to be alive after a Lowe’s big rig rolled over onto his pickup truck. The man was stopped at a light on Hausman Road near Loop 1604 in San Antonio when a car swerved in front of the big rig. The driver of the big rig swerved to avoid a collision, which caused the big rig to roll over onto the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck was well enough to be able to crawl out of his vehicle after the collision. The driver of the Lowe’s big rig was uninjured.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the accident, but the driver of the pickup truck expressed his belief that somebody may have run a red light.

Big rigs are at an increased risk of being involved in rollover accidents due to their size. Not only is the length of the trailer an issue, but so is the weight of the trailer, how the trailer is loaded, and how tall the trailer is. Stopping abruptly can cause the load to shift and the vehicle to topple over.
