Brazos County, TX (August 24, 2022) – A vehicle collision reported in Brazos County claimed one person’s life while leaving a second person with significant injuries. At around 3:05 p.m., on August 22, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a crash that occurred on Highway 6.
TPS reports indicate that a 2022 Toyota Tacoma, a 2022 Dodge charger, and a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee were all traveling northbound on Highway six. At the same time, a 2005 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on the same roadway.
As the vehicles past the area of Farm to Market Road 2154, the Jeep attempted to change lanes and collided with the Dodge. The Jeep then stuck the Tacoma. The Dodge then went over the center line and struck the Toyota head-on.
The driver of the Toyota, a 53-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of their injuries.
The driver of the Dodge was transported to CHI St. Joseph Regional Health for medical care. The victim was identified as a 21-year-old man.
The drivers of the Jeep and the Tacoma were not injured as a result of the crash.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident at this time.
