Carancahua Community, TX (January 16, 2023) – One person has died as a result of a crash that took place on Saturday in Jackson County on January 14. At around 12:30 p.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traffic crash that occurred on Highway 35.
Reports from the JCSO show that two vehicles collided on the highway near Farm to Market Road 1862. The involved vehicles blocked the road, causing delays in the area.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the injuries that they suffered. A second victim suffered serious injuries. The victim was flown by LifeFlight to an area hospital for emergency care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
