Dallas, TX – Fatal DUI Accident Reported on I-35 near Mockingbird Ln

Dallas, TX (February 11, 2023) – A drunk driver caused a motor vehicle accident in Dallas County early Friday morning, February 10, that claimed one person’s life.

The accident was reported to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office just after 3 a.m.

According to reports, two vehicles collided on the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 E. near Mockingbird Lane. Deputies responded to the scene and secured the roadway as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles.

One person was fatally injured in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of critical injuries.

One of the drivers involved in the accident faces charges of intoxicated manslaughter.

The Sheriff’s Office in Dallas County is actively investigating the collision.
