Car Accidents in Texas

Ector County, TX – Five Injured in Six-Vehicle Truck Crash on I-20 near MM 104There are a number of factors that can cause car accidents, and each one is potentially dangerous in its own way. Some of the most common causes of Texas car accidents include:

Speed is one of the most common causes of Texas car accidents. When drivers travel too fast for the conditions, it can lead to collisions on curved roadways and in congested areas. Failing to yield the right-of-way can also be a major factor in car collisions. Drivers who fail to yield to others can cause severe injury accidents.

Impairment is also a major contributor to car accidents. When drivers are drunk or impaired by drugs, they are much more likely to cause a collision. Other drivers may not be able to see them or react quickly enough to avoid them.

Distractions can also lead to accidents. When people are busy texting or talking on their phones, they are not paying as much attention to their surroundings as they should be.
