Fort Worth, TX – Driver Killed in Martin Luther King Freeway Crash near E Berry St

Fort Worth, TX (February 5, 2023) – A traffic crash took place in the Fort Worth area that claimed one person’s life. On February 2, the Fort Worth Police Department and firefighters were called to provide assistance on-site at a traffic crash that took place on Martin Luther King Freeway.

According to authorities, the vehicle was traveling north on Martin Luther King Freeway during the evening hours. At around 11 p.m., the vehicle began experiencing a mechanical failure. As a result, the vehicle came to a stop while traveling near East Berry Street.

Another vehicle stopped to provide assistance to the vehicle driver. While at the scene, the driver was struck by a third vehicle.

Two people suffered injuries as a result of the crash. Both victims were transported to area hospitals.

One of the victims later passed away from their injuries after arriving at John Peter Smith Hospital for care.

The incident remains under investigation by the police in Fort Worth currently.
