Car Accidents in Texas

Fort Worth, TX – Highway 360 Crash near TX-183 Interchange Takes One LifeFatal car crashes in Texas take the lives of thousands of people annually. In 2021 alone, over 4400 people died as a result of traffic accidents in our state. In many cases, these accidents are preventable.

Victims who are involved in rear-end accidents often suffer as a result of negligence. There are several factors that continue to cause these accidents to take place. One of the most common factors is tailgating or following other vehicles too closely. When drivers are traveling too close to the vehicles ahead, there is little room for error. If a vehicle in front of them suddenly stops, they will not have enough time to react in order to prevent a collision from happening.

Distracted driving is another common factor in rear-end accidents that we see in our state. When people are using their phones or messing with other items in their vehicles, it takes her attention off the road ahead. This dramatically increases the chance of them not seeing a vehicle stopping or slowing down in front of them.

Finally, poor road conditions are commonly cited in rear-end accidents across our state. When people are driving in adverse rather conditions, they may not see other vehicles ahead of them. This is particularly true if there is heavy rain, heavy snow, or thick fog. Additionally, icy road conditions can make it nearly impossible for vehicles to stop in order to avoid striking others nearby.
