Gray County, TX (June 2, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Monday evening in Gray County claimed one woman’s life. At around 630 p.m., on May 30, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Texas State Highway 152.

Reports provided by DPS indicate that a 28-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on Texas State Highway 152. For unknown reasons, her 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer collided head-on with a 2021 GMC Sierra.

The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to flip over onto its top and come to rest in the westbound lane. The GMC landed in a field just northwest of the roadway.

The driver of the GMC, a 63-year-old man, was transported to Pampa Regional Medical Plaza for the treatment of injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 28-year-old woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
