Houston, TX – Man on Scooter Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Pease St & Louisiana St

Houston, TX (January 30, 2023) – An automobile accident was reported in the Houston area on Sunday morning that claimed the life of one man. On January 29, the Houston Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Pease Street.

According to law enforcement, a man was attempting to cross the street on an electric scooter at around 12:30 a.m. As he traveled through the area of Pease Street in Louisiana Street, a pickup truck traveling on the left lane struck the man.

The pickup driver fled the scene of the crash without stopping.

The man in the electric scooter was severely hurt as a result of the crash. Authorities responded to the scene to care for the victim. Despite medical efforts provided by first responders, the man ended up passing away from his injuries.

At this time, the police department is investigating the accident.
