Houston, TX (November 1, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Houston area left three officers with the Houston Police Department injured. At around 1 a.m., on October 30, emergency crews were notified that a chain-reaction crash on East Crosstimbers Street required assistance.

Reports from authorities show that three Houston Police Department officers spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen. As the officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver fled the scene, leading the officers on a chase.

As the vehicle passed through the area of East Crosstimbers Street and Irvington Boulevard, it became involved in a collision. The fleeing vehicle struck the officers’ patrol units and a fourth vehicle before coming to rest.

The three officers involved in the accident were transported to area hospitals for medical care.
