Houston, TX (June 3, 2022) – An auto accident reported in the Houston area left two people injured. At around 11:45 a.m., on June 1, the police, firefighters, and EMS were all notified that a major crash on Louisiana Street required assistance.

Reports from the Houston Police Department show that an HPD cruiser was transporting a detainee to the Harris County Joint Processing Center. As the vehicle traveled north through the intersection of Louisiana Street and Leeland Street, it was involved in a collision with a black Ford SUV.

The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to strike a light pole at the intersection.

The officer and prisoner were both injured in the accident. The two victims were transported to area hospitals for further care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the victims injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
