Houston, TX (February 26, 2023) – A woman in Houston was critically injured after she was hit by a driver who had crashed in several vehicles on Friday evening, February 24.
The accident took place at the intersection of Wheeler and Emancipation Avenues. Authorities attempted to pull over the driver of a pickup truck when the motorist sped away. The driver crashed into several vehicles, including a convertible. The truck was launched onto a pile of four parked vehicles near a pharmacy.
The woman inside the convertible suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the pickup was also hurt. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
