Long Branch, TX (March 12, 2023) – Two officers with the Panola County Sheriff’s Office were hurt after a collision in Long Branch on Saturday, March 11.
The accident took place at the intersection of TX-315 & FM 1971 at around 2:13 p.m. The officers were reportedly responding to a loose livestock call. They made a U-turn on the roadway after locating the bovine.
The patrol car was hit by a Tahoe SUV. Emergency responders were called to the scene. Two officers were transported for injuries. The driver of the Tahoe was treated at the scene.
An ongoing crash investigation is in progress.
