Lubbock, TX – Pedestrian Rushed to UMC Following Crash on County Rd 7200 near Private Rd 2450

Lubbock, TX (March 3, 2022) – One person was left with serious injuries after a pedestrian accident in the Lubbock area. At around 9:25 p.m., on February 28, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of an auto accident on County Road 7200.

Reports provided by DPS show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on County Road 7200 in the area near Private Road 2450 during the evening hours.

The driver of the vehicle believed that they struck a mailbox and left the scene. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the accident and was rushed to University Medical Center for emergency medical care.

The driver of the vehicle was later located by DPS. The driver was not injured. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
