Lubbock, TX (June 15, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Lubbock area late Saturday evening left to people with significant injuries. Just before 9 p.m., on June 12, the Lubbock Police Department and firefighters were dispatched to the scene of a collision on 19th Street.
Reports provided by the police show that a dark-gray sedan and a second vehicle collided on 19th Street near the area of West Loop 289. The vehicles both suffered significant damage as a result of the accident.
Firefighters and the police closed off several lanes of the roadway as they worked to remove the vehicles and debris.
Two people involved in the accident suffered significant injuries. The victims were transported to area hospitals for further medical care.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
