Lumberton, TX (June 6, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Lumberton area ended in injuries. At around 1030 p.m., on June 3, the Lumberton Police Department responded to the scene of an auto accident on Highway 96.
Reports show that a collision between a patrol unit and a second vehicle took place on Highway 96 in the area of Walton Road. The impact of the crash left the vehicles with moderate damage. Crews close off the scene of the accident for an extended period as they work to remove the vehicles and debris from the roadway.
The officer inside the patrol unit suffered injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to an area hospital.
