Moore County, TX (January 22, 2023) – A vehicle crash took place in Ward County on Friday morning that claimed the life of a 35-year-old man from Dumas, Texas. On January 20, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a grant from US Highway 87.
According to law enforcement, at around 7 a.m., a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling east on US Highway 87. As the vehicle continued eastbound on the roadway, it became involved in a collision with a 2010 Jeep Liberty, which was heading west on the road.
The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man, was severely harmed in the crash. He was transported to Moore County Hospital, where he later died from the injuries he suffered.
The driver of the Jeep, a 42-year-old, and a 13-year-old female passenger were both uninjured in the accident.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
