Muleshoe, TX (September 21, 2022) – One man has died as a result of a collision that occurred in Lam County on Sunday evening. At approximately 5:25 p.m., on September 18, the Texas Department of Public Safety was summoned to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on US Highway 70.
DPS reports show that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on US Highway 70. For unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed into the westbound lanes and struck a vehicle. The force of the crash caused the westbound vehicle to roll over and come to rest in a ditch.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 44-year-old man, was fatally injured. He was declared dead at the scene by DPS.
Two passengers in the vehicle, a 19-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, were both injured. Both victims were transported to Muleshoe Area Hospital to treat injuries.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash at this time.
