Mustang Ridge, TX (January 17, 2023) – Emergency officials were called to the scene of a traffic crash on Monday afternoon that left several people injured. On January 16, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a traffic crash that occurred on US Highway 183.
The accident was reported at about 120 p.m. According to reports, two vehicles collided on US Highway 183 in the area of Evelyn Road.
Three people became trapped inside their vehicles due to the accident. Firefighters responded to the scene of the accident and extricated the victims, two of which were unconscious as a result of their injuries.
One of the children involved in the accident was transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center, while one adult victim was transported to Ascension Seton Hays Hospital. Both victims were admitted in critical condition.
Two other adult patients were transported to St. David’s Austin Medical Center for the treatment of serious injuries. An additional victim was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center, while an additional adult and a second child were both transported for treatment at Dell Children’s Medical Center.
The police out of Mustang Ridge are currently investigating the crash.
