New Braunfels, TX – Girl Injured in Fatal Crash on FM 2722 that Killed Seven

New Braunfels, TX (January 27, 2023) – A major traffic accident took place on Sunday evening in Comal County that claimed the lives of seven. On January 22, the Texas Department of Public Safety was dispatched to a traffic collision that took place on Farm to Market Road 2722.

Preliminary investigations provided by DPS indicate that a black 2005 Ford F1 50 pickup truck was heading north on Farm to Market Road 2722 when the vehicle veered into the southbound lane of travel. After entering the south lane, the vehicle collided with a black 2007 Chrysler Aspen.

The driver of the Aspen, a 39-year-old, and four passengers in the vehicle, identified as a 44-year-old woman, and three children, an 8-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy, and a 6-year-old girl, were all pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries they suffered.

A 12-year-old girl in the vehicle was rushed to University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas in critical condition.

The driver and the passenger in the Ford, identified as a 26-year-old man and an adult female, both died at the scene.

At this time, the Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
