Quinlan, TX – Man Loses Life in Motorcycle Accident on FM 751 near FM 429

Quinlan, TX (February 15, 2023) – A motorcycle accident reported in San Jacinto County claimed one man’s life on Sunday evening, February 12.

At approximately 7:42 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Farm to Market Road 751.

Preliminary reports show that a 29-year-old man was driving a 2007 Honda CBR motorcycle South on Farm to Market Road 751. At the same time, a 35-year-old man was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer north on the roadway.

As the two vehicles proceeded through the intersection of Farm to Market Road 429, the driver of the Chevrolet failed to yield the right-of-way as he attempted to turn left at the intersection. As a result, the two vehicles collided.

Motorcyclist was fatally injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet was treated for injuries. He was also arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken into police custody.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating.
