Car Accidents in Texas
Auto accidents in Texas leave tens of thousands of people hurt every single year. Unfortunately, there are a variety of reasons why these accidents continue to take place. Common injuries reported in auto accidents across our state include:
Broken bones: Fractures can occur anywhere in the body, but are most common among the lower extremities, including the arm, leg, and foot. Because bones heal slowly, broken bones may not heal correctly, resulting in permanent damage or even amputation.
Spinal cord injuries: Spinal cord injuries can cause paralysis or other serious physical disabilities.
Traumatic brain injuries: Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) can cause significant physical and neurological damage, and can be life-threatening.
Internal organ damage: We see many people suffer from internal bleeding, lung punctures, ruptured spleens, and other internal organ damage as a result of crashes. These injuries can be life-threatening.
Some common causes of car accidents in Texas include driving too fast for the conditions, failing to yield to oncoming traffic, inexperienced drivers, distracted driving, and running stop signs or red lights. If you are injured in a car accident in Texas, you may be entitled to compensation from the at-fault driver.
