Car Accidents in Texas

San Angelo, TX – Two-Vehicle Wreck on Irving St near Avenue N Leaves One InjuredCar accidents in Texas leave tens of thousands of people injured every year. Countless people require extensive hospitalization and medical care for the injuries they suffered. Unfortunately, many accidents that take place are a result of negligent motorists.

Drunk, distracted, and careless driving are among the leading causes of car accidents. Every year, thousands of people are killed or injured in car accidents that could have been prevented if the drivers had been paying attention.

One of the most dangerous things a driver can do is to get behind the wheel while intoxicated. Alcohol impairs judgment and reaction time, making it more difficult to drive safely. Texting or using your cell phone while driving is another dangerous distraction. It’s important to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road at all times.

Failing to yield when switching lanes is another common cause of car accidents. Drivers who switch lanes recklessly or weave between lanes of travel continue to cause serious harm to innocent motorists sharing the road.
