San Antonio, TX (August 24, 2022) – A major pedestrian accident took place on Wednesday morning in the San Antonio area that left one teen with significant injuries. At around 2 a.m., on August 24, calls came in for assistance at the scene of a major motor vehicle collision that occurred on Chase Hill Boulevard.

The San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene of the accident and initiated an investigation into what took place. Preliminary reports surrounding the crash show that an 18-year-old was walking across Chase Hill Boulevard during the morning hours, from the westbound side to the eastbound side of the roadway. For unknown reasons, the teen was struck by a white sedan, which was traveling southbound on the roadway near Loop 1604.

The crash caused delays near the University of Texas at San Antonio.

The teen suffered significant injuries due to the crash. EMS transported the victim to University Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.

The San Antonio Police Department is investigating the crash at this time.
