San Antonio, TX – Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident on I-35 near Weidner Rd

San Antonio, TX (June 29, 2022) – A pedestrian accident reported in the San Antonio area late Monday evening left one man injured. At around 11:45 p.m., on June 27, the San Antonio Police Department and emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 35.

Reports provided by authorities show that a male pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart in the area of Interstate 35 and Weidner Road during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, a vehicle was traveling on the interstate when it veered off the roadway and struck the man.

The pedestrian suffered injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center for emergency medical care.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with law enforcement. She was not injured in the accident.

At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
