San Antonio, TX (September 29, 2021) – One person was taken to the hospital following a three-vehicle collision in San Antonio earlier this week. The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, September 27th.
The San Antonio Police Department responded to the accident scene on Highway 90 near Marian Street and Frio City Road. According to an initial report, a black SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 90 when the driver of the SUV failed to slow for traffic in front of them. The SUV collided with a white sedan that was also traveling westbound. The two vehicles then hit a third car before leaving the road and striking a tree.
The driver of the sedan, a man in his 20s, was trapped inside his vehicle following the crash. The man was extricated and transported to Brooke Army Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A female passenger in the sedan was not hurt. The driver of the SUV was arrested by police and charged with driving while impaired. The driver was identified only as a female but her name and age were not released.
There are no additional injuries as a result of the accident and no further information is available.
