Intersection Accidents in Texas

San Antonio, TX – Woman Left Injured Following Two-Vehicle Crash on McCullough AveBeing hurt in a traffic crash can change your life forever, leaving you to deal with painful physical and emotional injuries. In many cases, crashes that leave victims with serious injuries are entirely preventable. One of the most common causes of crashes that we see in our state involves drivers who run red lights or pass stop signs at intersections. When drivers pass through stop signs and red lights, they place the lives of innocent people at risk.

There are several factors that can contribute to a driver running a stop sign at an intersection. Distracted driving, such as texting or talking on the phone, can prevent a driver from seeing a stop sign nearby. As a result, they are likely to pass through it and strike other vehicles. Drivers may also be impaired by drugs or alcohol, which can reduce their ability to react in time at intersections. Speed is another factor that can play a role in preventing a driver from stopping at an intersection. If a driver is going too fast, they may not be able to stop in time.

Regrettably, intersection accidents are often some of the most serious ones that take place in our state. These accidents often involve front-to-side impact, which can result in vehicles rolling over and suffering severe damage. Many of these accidents involve entrapment, which can slow down the time that a victim receives critical medical care.
