Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

Sinton, TX – One Injured in Pedestrian Crash on E Sinton St near Vineyard AveEvery year, thousands of pedestrians are left injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in the state of Texas. Even though these accidents are often preventable, we continue to see victims suffer irreversible damages due to the negligence of other drivers. Some of the leading causes of pedestrian accidents in our state include:

  • drivers who are distracted by their cell phones and other objects while behind the wheel
  • drivers who fail to yield the right of way to pedestrians
  • drivers who are drunk or under the influence of drugs

When people engage in reckless actions while operating their vehicles, they run the risk of causing severe injuries to others around them. Unfortunately, pedestrians are more likely to suffer significant injuries due to the fact that they are not protected at all during accidents. As a result, we see many pedestrians suffer from severe injuries like:

  • traumatic brain injuries
  • spinal cord injuries that lead to paralysis
  • severely broken bones or loss of limbs
  • internal organ damage

When innocent people suffer from these and other severe injuries due to the negligence of other drivers, they often have legal options available to help them move forward.
