Taylor, TX (May 20, 2022) – One person has lost their life as a result of a truck accident that took place early Wednesday morning in Taylor. At around 2 a.m. on May 18, the Texas Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Farm to Market Road 1660.
Reports from DPS indicate that a collision involving two semi-trucks took place on Farm to Market Road 1660 near Farm to Market Road 973. The incident caused severe delays in the area as crews worked to clear the eastbound side of the roadway between Farm to Market Road 973 and Interstate 95.
One of the drivers involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The extent of injuries to all other parties involved in the crash is not known at this time.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
