Whitehouse, TX (July 7, 2022) – A two-vehicle accident reported in Smith County on Wednesday morning left one person injured. On July 6, the Smith County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene of a crash on Farm to Market Road 346.
Reports provided by authorities show that a Smith County Precinct 3 Constable patrol vehicle was involved in a collision on Farm to Market Road 346 with another vehicle near concession Road.
The crash caused significant delays throughout the area due to its blocking of the intersection. Authorities closed off the roadway as they worked to clear the scene.
The constable involved in the accident suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. At least one other person was injured in the accident as well.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
