Over a recent six-year period, there were a total of 16,807 bicycle crashes reported in Texas. From that number, 9,769 cyclists were hurt and, tragically, 362 people were killed. An additional 5,646 accidents were reported as involving possible but unverified injuries. Bicyclists are at great risk of being injured in an accident and should always take safety precautions to lower their risks. However, not all bicycle crashes are avoidable. This is mainly due to the actions of negligent drivers on the roadway.

A bicycle accident in San Antonio can take place very suddenly and unexpectedly. These accidents can leave bicyclists suffering from major injuries. These injuries include head trauma, broken bones, soft tissue injuries, and more. Unfortunately, the recovery period following a bicycle accident can be long and trying. These injuries often linger and can take weeks and months to heal. Meanwhile, the medical bills are piling up and you may be unable to enjoy the life that you once enjoyed prior to the crash.

Although a bicycle accident is a serious event, it does not have to define your life forever. Under Texas law, you could be entitled to receive compensation if you or a loved one have suffered injuries at the hands of a negligent driver. This includes the right to payment of your pain and suffering, medical bills, and more.
