Frisco, TX – Teen Injured in Bicycle Crash on Independence Parkway near Sumac Ln

Frisco, TX (October 17, 2021) – A teen was left with severe injuries following a bicycle accident in the Frisco area on Friday evening, according to local law enforcement.

At around 4:15 p.m., on October 15, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Independence Parkway.

Reports from authorities show that a 14-year-old boy was riding a bicycle north on Independence Parkway. As he passed through the area of Sumac Lane, he became involved in a collision with a Ford Truck.

The teen sustained severe injuries in the accident. He was transported to a local hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
