Forth Worth, TX – Female Pedestrian Struck & Killed While Crossing I-30

Fort Worth, TX (September 30, 2021) – Rescue officials in Forth Worth responded to the scene of a fatal accident involving a pedestrian on Wednesday, September 29th. The crash was reported around 9:00 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, an unidentified female pedestrian tried to cross over the eastbound lanes of the highway. As she was crossing, the woman was hit by several vehicles in the 3100 block. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the crash scene. There were no additional injuries reported in the accident. Police have not said whether the drivers involved remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation. Eastbound traffic was diverted off of the highway onto Beach Street as motorists were asked to avoid the area.

There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed against the drivers involved. No further information has been released at this time.
