Baytown, TX – Four Injured in ExxonMobil Refinery Explosion

Baytown, TX (December 23, 2021) – A total of four people were left injured as a result of an explosion incident at the ExxonMobil refinery early Thursday morning. At around 2 a.m., on December 23, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a major industrial accident at the ExxonMobil plant.

Reports show that a fire broke out in the oil refinery during the early morning hours. The incident caused a loud explosion, which could be heard throughout the area.

A total of four people were injured in the explosion. Three victims were transported via helicopter to area hospitals for care. A fourth victim was transported by ambulance.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
