Abilene, TX (March 15, 2022) – One man has lost his life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Abilene area. At around 7 p.m., on March 10, emergency crews were requested on-site at a motor vehicle accident on Highway 80.
Reports from local authorities indicate that 35-year-old Curtis Proctor was struck by a train on Highway 80 in the area of Judge Ely Boulevard.
Proctor sustained severe injuries in the accident. Emergency crews rushed to the scene to treat the injured victim. However, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
