Amarillo, TX (February 12, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident in the Amarillo area on Thursday afternoon claimed one person’s life. At around 3:35 p.m., on February 10, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Texas State Highway 136.
Reports from authorities show that a collision between two SUVs occurred on the highway in the area of the Asarco Plant.
One person involved in the crash sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Two other people were transported to local hospitals for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
