Arlington, TX (November 9, 2021) – One person has lost their life following a motor vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Arlington. At around 2:36 a.m., on November 7, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on North Collins Street.
Reports from authorities show that 50-year-old Bernida Collins was driving south on North Collins Street. As Collins passed the intersection of Interstate 30, she ran a red light and crashed into a Honda HR-V.
The two backseat passengers in the Honda were transported to a local hospital for care. One of the victims, a 37-year-old man, later passed away from his injuries.
The driver of the Honda was treated for injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
