Arlington, TX (October 29, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a chain-reaction crash on Thursday morning, October 28. Just before 4 a.m., the Arlington Police Department was notified that an accident took place in Interstate 30 that required assistance.
Reports from APD show that a car became disabled while traveling on the westbound side of Interstate 30. As the vehicle broke down in the center lanes, the teen driver attempted to exit the vehicle. As a result, a chain-reaction collision involving a second car, a motorcycle, and a pickup truck occurred near Green Oaks Boulevard.
The teen sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police and firefighters closed off the roadway for more than five hours as they worked to clear the scene and investigate. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the victim who lost his life in this accident. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
