Austin, TX – One Killed in Crash on RM 2222 near Loop 360

Austin, TX (December 30, 2021) – An auto accident reported on Wednesday morning in the Austin area has claimed the life of one person while leaving two others injured. At around 7:45 a.m., on December 29, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Ranch to Market 2222.

Reports provided by the Austin Police Department show that three vehicles became involved in a collision in the 5800 block of Ranch to Market 2222 near Loop 360. The crash caused moderate disruptions in the area as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

One person became trapped inside their vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. A second victim was transported by ambulance to Seton Medical Center for care.

A third victim, who has not been identified, suffered fatal injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
