Austin, TX (May 25, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles in the Austin area left one person injured on Monday while claiming a second victim’s life. On May 23, the Austin Police Department and emergency crews were dispatched to an auto accident on MoPac Expressway.
Reports from the APD show that two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision in the 2600 block of MoPac Expressway in the area of Northwood Road. The incident left both vehicles with significant damage.
One person was rushed to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A second victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
