Austin, TX – One Victim Loses Life in Car Crash on FM 973 between FM 969 & Tesla Rd

Austin, TX (April 24, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Austin area claimed one person’s life. At around 6:25 a.m., on April 23, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Farm to Market Road 973.

Reports from authorities show that a collision between two vehicles occurred in the area of 2400-4537 North Farm to Market Road 973. The incident caused delays between the areas of Farm to Market Road 969 and Tesla Road.

One person was pinned inside their vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. The victim was removed and CPR was performed on a second patient.

The pinned victim was rushed to South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries.

The second victim was declared deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
