Austin, TX – Pedestrian Killed in Truck Crash on I-35 near US-183

Austin, TX (April 3, 2022) – A truck-involved pedestrian crash claimed one person’s life early Saturday morning, April 2. At around 1:20 a.m., the Austin Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a crash on Interstate 35.

Reports provided by authorities show that a pedestrian was traveling near the southbound side of Interstate 35 when they were struck by a semi-truck. The incident caused delays in the area near US Highway 183.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was pronounced deceased on-site.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
