Austin, TX (December 19, 2021) – One person has lost their life following a pedestrian accident on Friday evening in the Austin area. On December 17, the Austin Police Department was notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 35.

Reports from the police show that a pedestrian was traveling in the area of Interstate 35 and US Highway 290. For unknown reasons, a vehicle passing through the area struck the pedestrian, resulting in severe injuries.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene to render aid to the victim. However, they passed away while at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
