Beaumont, TX (March 19, 2022) – One man has lost his life following an auto accident in the Beaumont area. At around 7:22 p.m., on March 16, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on North Major Drive.
Reports from authorities show that 76-year-old Reed Nichols was driving a Ford SUV south in the 3500 block of North Major Drive. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a second vehicle on the road. The impact of the crash caused the Ford to roll over several times before crashing into a utility pole.
Nichols sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Multiple people in the second vehicle were injured.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
