Bloomburg, TX (January 24, 2022) – One man has lost his life as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Friday in Cass County. At around 3 p.m., on January 21, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on County Road 4920.

Reports from local authorities show that 92-year-old James Martin was driving near County Road 4920 when his vehicle was struck by a Union Pacific Freight train.

Martin suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
